Returning Student

Follow These Steps:

  1. Submit an Application - Complete the Online Application, and allow 4 business days for processing from date of submission online (please be sure to hit submit & then log off).
  2. Complete Assessment - Assessment in reading, English and mathematics helps determine your skill level and course placement. If you are a returning student and have not taken the assessment before, then please schedule an appointment. if you are planning to take English, Math, Reading or English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. If you are not planning to take English, Math, Reading or English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, you do not have to take the Assessment. If you have taken the assessment before you will not need to re-test again unless your test scores are five years or older. Assessment test scores (5) years or older are not accepted for course placement. Course pre-requisites cannot be met if your test scores are (5) years or older. You must re-test or complete the required pre-requisite course with a grade of "C" or higher to satisfy the course prerequisite.
  3. Attend Orientation, Meet with a Counselor - Find out about rules and policies that may affect your college experience. Then, meet with a counselor, who will help develop your educational plan, refer you to appropriate services and answer questions and concerns. A counseling appointment is not required for returning students, however we encourage all students to see a counselor at least once a semester.
  4. Go to MySierra to Register for Courses you will be sent instructions on how to set up your MySierra account where you may; register for courses on-line, review your schedule, pay fees, view grades and access the library database.

  • Search for Employment opportunities while attending college.
