Wireless Access

Announcing Expanded Wireless Coverage for All Campuses! Wireless icon

Student Wireless Access

The wireless service is available to students after they purchase a student activity sticker ($10 per semester bought online under Pay Fees from your MySierra account).

Students must activate their wireless account through the Campus Life Office, room J-7 of the Campus Center. Applications for the wireless service are available at Admission & Records, the Library and the Campus Life Office. If you encounter access problems, please consult the Student Wireless FAQs to verify if your system supports Sierra's wireless service.

Dorm students: go through the Housing Office to activate your account.

NCC, Roseville Gateway & Tahoe-Truckee Campuses

  • There is no charge for wireless service at our satellite campuses.
  • Students should contact the Campus Life Office at the Rocklin Campus via e-mail at: chartzell@sierracollege.edu
  • We need your student ID number to confirm you are enrolled at one of our satellite facilities.
  • It will take about 24 hours to activate your account. Due to student demand, it may take longer to activate your account. But we have not been experiencing issues getting students activated in a timely fashion.

We encourage students to support the Associated Students by purchasing your student activities sticker.

Staff and Faculty Wireless Access

The service is free to all faculty and staff. All faculty and staff have access using their Sierra College network log in account. If you are using a Sierra College laptop computer then you will log in to the domain just as you would when from your desktop PC. If you are using your personal laptop computer, select the "Sierra - Public" wireless network.

More technical information can be found in this flyer (.pdf) or FAQs (.pdf)

If you experience outages contact the Help Desk, ext: 1234.
